As Warrington Ventures commences its fourth semester and second academic year on campus, we would like to extend a warm welcome to all returning analysts and general body members eager to ignite their extracurricular involvement with our organization. We would also like to thank all institutional partners and relevant faculty members for their renewed interest in WV. Our board has worked diligently toward planning and organizing an edifying semester-long itinerary to: increase overall member participation, elevate value-add projects conducted by analysts, augment our output on behalf of our affiliates and offer involvement opportunities to the broader student body connected to the Warrington College of Business. That said, there are a few notable modifications in organizational operations to be considered by members and analysts alike as it pertains to their individual involvement.
The Near Future
For Spring 24’ all meetings will be held on Tuesdays at 6PM. The first general body meeting is to be held next week, Tuesday January 23rd, in Heavener 250. We encourage all prior members and analysts to attend. We will discuss our semester plan as an organization and cover activities arranged for each meeting. We will also gauge general interest for socials, workshops and projects for all members to participate in.
Warrington Ventures will be tabling at Business Bash on January 22nd from 5 to 7PM ET. Prospecting members are advised to visit our booth and chat with existing board members and analysts!
Beyond information concerning socials, workshops and projects, disclosure on VC field trips, coffee chats with guest speakers, and recruitment for the spring 2024 cohort of analysts should be expected. Analysts who sourced startups over the break can expect additional one-on-one feedback, a debrief on overall submission quality and a composite ranking of the findings. Deal sourcing initiatives will endure for the remainder of the semester alongside other organizational engagements.
Analysts in the Advisory program should anticipate project timeline updates and progress benchmarking following the meeting.
